Going Home Again
Advised by Rachaporn Choochuey & Surry Schlabs
Bangkok, Thailand
A speculative provocation for collective housing in Bangkok, the project reimagines domestic life beyond the confines of the standard apartment, drawing on the city's culture of shared thresholds, corridors and outdoor living. Traditional Thai houses inform an architecture that is open, adaptable and capable of changing over time, challenging fixed ideas of privacy, ownership and family structure. Using scaffolding as a spatial framework, the design allows spaces to connect, expand and remain incomplete, supporting shared forms of living while responding more directly to climate and everyday use.
